So you are young ........... And you think you're in love!

So you are young ………..

  • Yet you think you know better than your parents. Oh come on! You know better than that! Just because you are better in using gadgets or in social media doesn’t mean that you are better than them! Believe me when I say this, life is not what you think it is… it’s not like what you see in the movies or the videos you watch in social media. There’s so much in life that can be challenging and it’s difficult to pretend that you know it all. It may feel liberating to do every decision at first but sooner or later you will grow tired of it, and the last thing you know, you are at the rock bottom. So let your parents do their work. God designed them to be our angels in this earth to guide us. So don’t you dare question their wisdom! Got it? (Ahem ahem)
  • And you think you’re in love! I hate to break the news to you kid but aside from you being stupid,  YOU’RE NOT INLOVE! I know you will say this, “but this is different! I’ve never felt this way before…” Here’s what I’m going to tell you… How old are you?! Of course this will be the first time you will feel such! You haven’t lived in the earth long enough to feel that again for another person! Hayst! Di ba pwedeng ang nararamdaman mo ay pagka-crush lang muna teh? So don’t crash your life (which by the way your parents have invested too much) just for some stupid boy or girl who doesn’t even know to love someone for real!  Take your time, focus on what’s important … I’m pretty sure you know what I mean by that.
  • And you think you have all the time in the world… no no no! Never ever fall into that thinking! Time is precious! So treasure your youth! Enjoy spending most of your time with your family, your learning and making new adventures (of course with the guidance and approval of your parents). The last thing you don’t want to happen is that you aged without any accomplishment and your heart is full of regrets with the time you wasted!
  • And you think you are confused or misunderstood. The funny thing about the young generation now a days is that they tend to be the “know it all” just because everything can be googled. But when failures strikes… there’s always excuse that they are confused, or misunderstood. Ohhhhhh why do you complicate things? Here’s what I learned in years… the only equation to our problem is this:            Admit (fault) + Accept (responsibility) + Forgive (yourself and others) + Pray (Pass on the burden to God) + Faith (Believe in His provision) = Happy Soul

Lastly,  my advise to you is to live a life with God. Living your life at its fullest without wrecking it. Do not hurry to grow, take every moment to learn, to love and be kind.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” –  Ephesians 5:15-16
